Worship Ministries

At Holy Spirit, there are many opportunities to share your gifts and talents during our liturgies. A short description of each Worship Ministry can be found here. During a weekend in November our parish Pastoral Council holds a Ministry Fair after all the weekend liturgies. This is a great opportunity to sign up, or you may use the contact information found below each ministry.

ART AND ENVIRONMENT
The Art and Environment Committee is a group of parishioners who volunteer their time to adorn and prepare the sacred space of Holy Spirit for the changing of the church’s calendar. Throughout the Liturgical year, they come together to enhance our surroundings for the seasons such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, or any other special feast of the church. This does not require any special talents other than a willingness to serve.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
This program, offered during the 10:00 Mass from October through April, provides children in grades K-5 an opportunity to hear the readings proclaimed in language they can easily understand. After the opening rites, the children and catechists gather together in the center aisle, receive a blessing from the priest, and then proceed to another room to hear and share the Sunday readings. Each team of adult volunteers facilitates 5-6 times a year.
