Welcome Rev. David Jameson

We are excited to welcome Rev. David Jameson to Holy Spirit!

Reverend Mr. David A. Jameson, 40, is the son of Robert and Suzanne Jameson of Minden, Louisiana. He is a member of the Basilica of Saint Adalbert in Grand Rapids.

Raised in a loving Evangelical Christian home, Deacon David entered the Catholic Church at the 2012 Easter Vigil Mass at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg, Virginia.

He attended Arizona State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in 2005. After college, he worked as an English teacher for five years, teaching in Louisiana and Indonesia. Before entering seminary formation, he also worked as a nurse assistant for two years at the Village of Heather Hills, a retirement community in Grand Rapids.

Deacon David will receive his Master of Divinity from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary, Mundelein, Illinois this spring. He completed his pastoral internship at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Grand Rapids, under the mentorship of Father Troy Nevins. He was ordained a transitional deacon on May 15, 2021. He will be ordained a priest on June 4, 2022, and will begin his first assignment as parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Parish on July 1, 2022.
